Find and filter contacts
The Contacts section gives you three ways to find people: a live search field, a business unit filter, and a credentialed user filter. Use them together to narrow a long list fast.
Before you start
You need Contact Manager permissions. Open Contact Manager and stay on the Contacts section (the line under the section name confirms you are there).
Search by any field
Type in the Search Contacts... field. The list filters as you type, and it matches any field in the record, not just names.
Type part of a phone number and every matching number appears.
Type a few letters of a name and every first or last name containing them appears. Typing Sta returns both Harry Stamper and Raymond Stanz.
Filter by business unit
A business unit is a client-defined value that organizes contacts by department, geography, or any grouping your organization chose. Business units are set up during implementation, and most clients use a single unit, commonly Corporate.
Click the down arrow on the Select Business Unit dropdown.
Click the unit you want. The list filters to contacts in that unit.
Do not add new business units without consulting your H2Safety representative. See Add, edit, or delete business units.
Filter by credentialed status
The Is Credentialed User? dropdown filters contacts by Yes or No.
Yes shows credentialed users, who can sign in to H2CommandCentre at any time.
No shows non-credentialed contacts, who only receive notifications or session invites.
For what the distinction means and how to change it, see Turn a contact into a user.
See more results
Long result sets load in pages. Click Load More at the bottom of the screen to load the next page. This matters when you bulk-delete: only loaded records are affected. See Delete one or more contacts.
