Manage user accounts and deactivate users
Contact Manager is the self-administration portal for H2CommandCentre user accounts. Your organization's administrators manage their own users and each user's access; you do not need to route routine account changes through H2Safety.
Two rules govern every account:
Accounts are uniquely assigned to named individuals. No shared logins.
Credentials and passwords are stored encrypted in the platform's database.
When an employee leaves
Deactivate the leaver's credentials so they can no longer access the H2Safety applications. Make this part of your offboarding checklist; an active account for a departed employee is a live door into your emergency response system.
Cut module access immediately: set every module to No Access in User Roles.
Remove the record when appropriate: delete the user from the Contacts section. This also removes them from contact lists, so notifications stop reaching them.
Wipe mobile devices
If a leaver had the mobile app and you require a remote wipe, follow the standard Apple instructions for remotely wiping an iOS device. The platform does not wipe devices itself.
Keep the Users current
Offboarding is the urgent half. It is important to routinely review Contacts to ensure that they are up to date, accurate, and only relevant contacts are stored in Contact Manager:
Edit contact details when phone numbers and roles change. Remember a credentialed user's email is locked; changing it means delete and recreate.
Chase pending invitations with Resend Invitation. See Turn a contact into a user.
Review roles and permissions when people change jobs, not just when they leave.
