Add text labels, points, lines, and shapes to the COP+ map with the Markup tool, and save them so they stay on the map.

Mark up the map with text and shapes

Markup annotates the Common Operating Picture (COP+) map with text and drawings: points, polylines, polygons, rectangles, and circles. Use it for anything the standard features do not cover, from labelling a muster point to sketching a plume edge.

One rule above all: save your markup. Unsaved markup does not stay on the map.

Add text

  1. Open Toolbox in the left-hand menu and click Markup. The markup window opens.

  2. Click the B button. The Text Markup Controls appear.

  3. Enter your text and set the Font Color and Font Size.

  4. Click Place, then click the map where the text goes.

  5. Click Save.

Draw shapes

  1. In the markup window, pick a shape: point, polyline, polygon, rectangle, or circle.

  2. Draw it on the map.

  3. Click Save.

Any placed object can be moved or deleted before you save.

Clear all markup

Click Delete All in the markup window to remove every markup object from the map.
