Place response features on the map
Add Feature To Map drops response resources onto the Common Operating Picture (COP+) so everyone in the session sees where they are. Every point feature places the same way; this article walks the flow once using an air monitor.
The point features: Air Monitor, Base, Camp, Incident Command Post, Helibase, Helispot, Staging Area, Reception Centre, Single Resource, Work Boat, and Rover.
Three features have their own workflows: hot, warm, and cold zones, roadblocks, and map layers.
Before you start
Each feature type has its own Manage permission (Manage Air Monitors, Manage Bases, and so on). If a menu item is greyed out, you do not have it. See Understand roles and permissions.
Place a feature
Open Add Feature To Map in the left-hand menu.
Select the feature type, for example Air Monitor. The cursor changes to cross-hairs.
Click the map where the feature belongs. A details window opens, titled for the feature (for example Air Monitor Details).
Enter any Notes.
Click the save button (for example Save Air Monitor). The feature's symbol appears on the map.
Move, edit, or delete a feature
Click the feature on the map. Its pop-up window opens.
Click the three dots at the top of the window.
Choose an action: Zoom, Flash (flashes the feature and zooms closer), or Delete.
