Assign roles and application permissions

Assign each user a per-module role of No Access, User, Admin, or Super Admin in the User Roles section, and fine-tune with Manage Permissions sub-roles.

Assign roles and application permissions

Access in H2CommandCentre is set per user, per module, in the User Roles section of Contact Manager. Each module (Notify, VEOC, COP+, Contact Manager, and the rest of your subscription) gets one of four roles:

  • No Access: the user cannot open the module.

  • User: standard access.

  • Admin: administrative access.

  • Super Admin: the highest level of access.

Before you start

You need administrator access to Contact Manager, and the person you are assigning must already be a credentialed user. Roles do nothing for non-credentialed contacts.

Assign a role

  1. In the User Roles section, find the user. Search by first or last name, or filter by business unit.

  2. The user's row lists every module with a role dropdown. Click the dropdown for the module you want to change.

  3. Click the role: No Access, User, Admin, or Super Admin.

  4. A success message confirms the change. There is no separate save step.

Fine-tune with Manage Permissions

Roles set the level; sub-roles set the specifics. Each module has its own set of Manage Permissions sub-roles, so what you see under COP+ differs from Contact Manager.

  1. Click the right-pointing arrow beside the user's details. It turns downward and reveals the Manage Permissions area.

  2. Click the dropdown arrow under Manage Permissions for the module you want. The module's sub-roles drop down.

  3. Check the box beside each sub-role the user needs. Assign as many as their tasks require.

  4. Checking a box saves it automatically. A success message appears at the top right of the screen.
