Save H2Safety's caller IDs

Save H2Safety's three outbound phone numbers as a contact so callout calls and invites are never mistaken for spam.

Save H2Safety's caller IDs

Every session callout and invite from H2CommandCentre originates from one of three H2Safety phone numbers. Save them as a contact named H2Safety now, so that when a real callout comes, you answer it instead of screening it. This takes two minutes and applies to everyone who could ever be invited to a session.

Steps

  1. Open your contacts app on your mobile phone.

  2. Create a new contact named H2Safety.

  3. Add all three numbers to that one contact.

  4. Save the same contact on your desktop or any other device that receives calls or texts.

Why it matters

Callout calls, texts, and session invites all show these numbers as the caller. Unsaved, they look like telemarketing, and a screened call during an emergency is a missed mobilization. Saved, your phone shows H2Safety and you know to pick up.

Let H2Safety through Do Not Disturb

Saving the contact solves caller ID. It does not solve silent mode. If your phone is on Do Not Disturb, Focus, silent, or a bedtime schedule, a callout at 3 a.m. will still arrive silently.

The fix is a per-contact override. Both iPhone and Android support one. Set it up on the same H2Safety contact you just created — configuring the contact once covers all three numbers.

Do this on every device that could receive a callout, including personal phones used for on-call rotation.

iPhone — Emergency Bypass

Emergency Bypass lets H2Safety ring through the silent switch, Do Not Disturb, and every Focus mode, with no other exceptions required.

  1. Open the Phone app and tap Contacts, or open the Contacts app.

  2. Tap the H2Safety contact, then tap Edit.

  3. Tap Ringtone.

  4. Turn on Emergency Bypass, then tap Done.

  5. Tap Text Tone.

  6. Turn on Emergency Bypass, then tap Done.

  7. Tap Done to save the contact.

Emergency Bypass must be enabled separately for Ringtone (calls) and Text Tone (SMS). Setting only one leaves the other silenced.

Optional: allow H2Safety in a specific Focus

If you would rather not use a full bypass, you can allow the contact inside individual Focus modes instead:

  1. Go to Settings → Focus.

  2. Tap the Focus you use, such as Do Not Disturb or Sleep.

  3. Under People, tap Allow Notifications From and add H2Safety.

  4. Turn on Allow Repeated Calls, so a second call from the same number within three minutes always rings through.

Repeat for each Focus mode you use. Focus allowances apply only to the Focus you edit; Emergency Bypass applies everywhere.

Android — Do Not Disturb exceptions

Android has no per-contact bypass equivalent to Apple's. Instead, mark H2Safety as a favourite (starred) contact and allow favourites through Do Not Disturb.

Menu names vary by manufacturer and Android version. The two most common paths are below.

Step 1 — Star the contact (all devices)

  1. Open the Contacts app.

  2. Open the H2Safety contact.

  3. Tap the star icon, or tap the menu and choose Add to Favourites.

Step 2a — Pixel and stock Android

  1. Go to Settings → Modes → Do Not Disturb.

  2. Tap People.

  3. Tap Calls and select Starred contacts (or Contacts).

  4. Turn on Allow repeat callers.

  5. Go back and tap Messages, then select Starred contacts.

Step 2b — Samsung (One UI)

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications → Do Not Disturb.

  2. Tap Allow exceptions, or Calls, messages and conversations.

  3. Turn on Calls from favourite contacts and Messages from favourite contacts.

  4. Turn on Repeat callers.

Other manufacturers use similar wording. Look for Do Not Disturb → Exceptions or Priority interruptions, then allow calls and messages from starred or favourite contacts.

If your device has scheduled or automatic DND

Check any Bedtime, Sleep, Driving, or scheduled Do Not Disturb rule separately. On some devices these carry their own exception settings that ignore the general Do Not Disturb configuration.

Verify it works

Do not assume the setting took. Test it before you rely on it.

  1. Turn on Do Not Disturb or your usual Focus, and put the phone on silent.

  2. Ask a colleague to call you from one of the three H2Safety numbers, or call yourself from a saved H2Safety number on another device.

  3. Confirm the phone rings audibly and shows H2Safety as the caller.

  4. Repeat the test with a text message.

If it did not ring, the most common causes are: the contact was starred on one account but the exception is reading another, only one of Ringtone or Text Tone was bypassed on iPhone, or a separate bedtime schedule is overriding your Do Not Disturb rule.
