Configure your VEOC dashboard
The Virtual Emergency Operations Centre (VEOC) dashboard is yours to arrange. Set what appears in your Forum feed, drag the panes where you want them, add clocks for your sites, and save. One warning up front: unsaved layouts reset to default, so Save Dashboard is the step that matters.
Before you start
You need to be in an active session. Dashboard settings are personal; changing yours changes nothing for anyone else.
Set your display options
Click the Settings icon on the dashboard, then click Configure Dashboard to open your options.
Session Message settings: Display or hide certain types of messages showing up in your session messages.
Show COP+ Messages: show or hide COP+ map updates in your Forum feed.
Show system messages: show or hide system messages in the Forum.
Urgent Message Alert: control whether Urgent messages pop up on screen.
Group conversations: filter direct and private messages to show only the names of those conversations.
Message Font Size: resize dashboard text using the dropdown.
Configure Dashboard controls which widgets appear on your dashboard. Check a box to add a widget, uncheck it to remove it:
Session Messages: the live chat/forum feed (Main Chat, Operations, Media team tabs).
ICS Forms: quick access to your incident's ICS form set.
Current Org Chart: the incident org chart (ICS 207) as currently structured.
Check In: the personnel check-in log for the session.
Objectives: the incident objectives list (ICS 202) with status and assignment.
Meeting Schedule: upcoming meetings for the session (ICS 230).
Status Board: an at-a-glance of the Forms uploaded and the version history.
COP+ Screenshot: the latest map snapshot pulled from COP+.
Default Dashboard: to discard your selections and restore the standard widget set.
Below the widget picker, Session Message Settings controls message behavior and text size:
Arrange the panes
Left-click and hold any windowpane, then drag it into position. Resize panes the same way to fit your screen and your role: a scribe wants a big Forum, an Incident Commander wants the map and org chart up front.
Save it
Click Save Dashboard in the Settings menu. Skip this and the dashboard reverts to its original layout.
Add clocks
Worldwide clocks sit at the top of the dashboard so you can track time at the job site, the office, or anywhere the response touches.
In the left-hand menu, click Clocks.
Add or remove clocks as needed.
Only users invited through a contact list can add clocks. Users added individually through Add Users see the company default clocks with no Add Clock option.
On mobile
Open Menu, then Settings. Mobile has its own toggle set: Show System Messages, Show COP+ Messages, Show Message Dates, Message Notifications (turn off to stop email and push alerts for Forum posts), Group Conversations, and Font Size. Each user controls their own.
