Download, upload, and track ICS forms
The ICS Forms tab holds the standard ICS Canada forms plus any company-specific forms built for your operations. The working loop is simple: download the template, fill it out, upload it back. Every upload is version-tracked, so your Virtual Emergency Operations Centre (VEOC) session keeps the full paper trail without the paper.
Forms are listed in chronological order under the Title tab for easy reference.
Before you start
You need to be in an active session. Open ICS Forms in the left-hand menu. Downloading and uploading needs no special licence; the auto-generate wand and approval workflow require an IAP licence and have their own articles.
The forms toolbar
Each form row gives you:
Download (down arrow): download the form template.
Upload (up arrow): upload a completed form.
Version History: view all previously uploaded versions, with the option to download or preview each. Designated approvers can also approve from here.
Auto-Generate Form (wand icon): pre-fill and generate an editable PDF. Requires an IAP licence; see Auto-generate an ICS 201 form.
Updated: who last changed the form, with date and time.
Fill out and file a form
Click the down arrow on the form you need, for example the ICS 201 incident briefing. The form opens for you to fill in.
Complete the form offline.
Click the up arrow and upload the completed form. A confirmation notification appears in the upper right corner when the upload succeeds.
Check Version History any time you need an earlier version; nothing is overwritten.
Forms that require an approver change colour once uploaded, and stay flagged until approved. See Set approvers and approve ICS forms.
On mobile: ICS Forms is available from the main menu with the same download, upload, and version-tracking flow, so field users can file forms without a laptop.
