Change a notification zone's radius

A zone's radius is a number in metres. Edit the zone, type over the number, and the circle resizes. Do this when your ERP changes the standoff distance around an asset, or during a live fire: shrink the radius and the system sends a fresh alert if the fire encroaches on the new, tighter perimeter. That keeps the monitoring on Wildfire and your team on the tactical plan.

Before you start

You need initiator or administrative access and an active session with data loaded: Load and refresh wildfire data. Take the new radius from your Emergency Response Plan. If your ERP itself needs updating, contact your H2Safety project manager.

Steps

  1. In your session, go to Wildfire Management > Manage Notification Zones and click Show Fires and Zones.

  2. Click the Notification Zones tab.

  3. On the zone's row, click the magnifying glass. The map opens at the zone.

  4. Click the zone circle to select it. A popup appears.

  5. Click Edit Zone. The current radius shows in metres.

  6. Type over the number with the new radius and click OK.

  7. Click Show Fires and Zones to refresh your view and confirm the new circle size.
