What Contact Manager does
Contact Manager is the central database of every person who can access H2CommandCentre, whether they sign in with credentials or only receive notifications and session invites. It is where you manage contacts, build the contact lists that Notify and VEOC target, bulk-import records, and control who can sign in and what they can do.
A well-maintained Contact Manager is what makes the rest of the platform fast. When a notification goes out or a VEOC session activates, the system reaches exactly the people on your lists. Keep the database current and your team mobilizes without a scramble.
The five sections
The dashboard has five sections. A line under the section name shows which one you are in.
Contacts. Manage individual people: add, edit, delete, search, and export. Start with Find and filter contacts.
Contact Lists. Build and manage the distribution lists that VEOC sessions and Notify notifications target. Start with Create a contact list.
Import Contacts. Bulk-load contacts from a CSV file instead of typing them one at a time. See Import contacts from a CSV file.
Manage Business Units. Maintain the client-defined units (departments, regions) used to organize contacts. See Add, edit, or delete business units.
User Roles. Grant permissions per module. See Assign roles and application permissions.
Reading the dashboard
Your signed-in name shows in the top left corner.
Hover over any icon and a grey pop-up names it.
The Invitation Setup Status column shows Accepted or Waiting on the user for credentialed users. See Turn a contact into a user.
When results run long, click Load More at the bottom to load the next page of records.
Who can use it
Setting up and managing contacts requires Contact Manager permissions or a system administrator account. Screens vary with your permissions and subscription, so your dashboard may not show every icon in these articles.
