View fire boundary notifications

The Fire Boundary Notifications tab lists every alert generated by a fire touching a notification zone, in one table, once you click Load Notifications.

Written by Phil Wheaton

The Fire Boundary Notifications tab is the one place to see every notification the system has generated: each record is a notification zone that a fire threat has touched. Use it to monitor from inside the platform instead of digging through email.

Before you start

You need initiator or administrative access and an active session with data loaded: Load and refresh wildfire data.

Steps

  1. In your session, go to Wildfire Management > Manage Notification Zones and click Show Fires and Zones.

  2. Click the Fire Boundary Notifications tab.

  3. Click Load Notifications. The table populates with every zone that has had a fire threat touch its boundary.

If the table is empty after loading, no fire has touched any of your zones. That is the outcome you want.

What to do with a notification

A record here means the assigned contact list was already alerted. See What happens when fire touches a notification zone? for what goes out and what your team should do next.
