Deleting a notification zone removes it from every session on that map permanently, so double-check before you click the red Delete button.

Delete a notification zone

Deleting a notification zone removes it from every session on the map where it was created, and there is no undo. Double-check you have the right zone before you click.

The usual trigger is an asset change: a site is sold or decommissioned, and its zone should stop alerting people.

Before you start

You need initiator or administrative access and an active session with data loaded: Load and refresh wildfire data.

Steps

  1. In your session, go to Wildfire Management > Manage Notification Zones and click Show Fires and Zones.

  2. Click the Notification Zones tab. Every zone created on the map is listed here.

  3. Find the zone and confirm by name that it is the one to remove.

  4. Click the red Delete button on the zone's record. The zone is gone from all sessions immediately.

  5. Click Show Fires and Zones to refresh your view and confirm the circle is off the map.
