Add a map layer from the web
Map Layer From Web pulls external spatial data onto the Common Operating Picture (COP+) map from a URL. The classic use: a government publishes live wildfire locations as a spatial data feed, and you overlay them to see how far the fires sit from your assets.
Before you start
You need the Map Layer From Web permission and the URL of a data source in a supported format. See Understand roles and permissions.
Steps
Open Add Feature To Map in the left-hand menu.
Select Map Layer From Web. The Add Layer From Web window opens.
Under Format, select the data format of your source (for example CSV). COP+ shows an example URL for the format you pick.
Paste your data URL into the URL line.
Click OK. The spatial data appears on the map.
Not sure your URL is right? Copy the built-in example into the URL line and click OK to see how a working layer behaves, then swap in your own.
